Happy Birthday, DAD!

It's our dad's 59th b-day and we just want to give him a shout out! Here are five fabulous things about our father!
1. He went to France on his mission and has recently went back to visit. Because of this, we can NOT say the "f-word" (meaning France or French) anywhere within earshot of him. If we do, he begins to speak to everyone in French, whether they speak it or not!
2. He will do anything for us. When we were in junior high we got concert tickets to Paula Abdul and Color Me Badd. It was out at Cricket (an outdoor arena) in JULY! Can you say H-O-T! My dad drove us out there and sat in his truck ALL night why were dancing an having fun at the concert. He never once complained either. Thanks dad!
3. He has a great testimony and has raised us to make good decisions. He has always been an example to us and enjoys sharing stories that he has read or heard about the gospel.
4. He is deaf in one ear. He makes up the weirdest things that people say because he can't hear them! Once, a girl said she worked in Human Resources and he later made a comment about her working in jewelry!
5. He loves to have fun with his family. Whether it is going on a great vacation or just hanging at home he will pretty much do anything to hang out with us. He even came to our Camp Rock party even though he did NOT want to!
Je t'aime, pere! Bon Anniversaire!

So many things in 1 post!

We have a lot of little things to blog about so we're putting them into one post! First of all, Happy Father's Day! Our dad is wicked awesome and we LOVE him tons! He does so much for us and we really appreciate him.

Next, Happy Anniversary to our parents! It's been 36 blissful years! Plus, they had us :) We'd also like to thank Dena for the blog makeover. Dena, you made our blog as cute as us! Thanks!
We had G.N.O. last week and had tons of fun! Thanks to those who could come and we missed the ones that could not make it. It was very laid back and casual. Playing Wii is always fun. Check out the pics of how intense everyone is!

Last, we got tagged! It was a really long tag and would've taken our whole blog page because we are supposed to do it separately. So, we each picked a category and we will answer that category. Marcie picked 8 Songs I can listen to over and over again and never get sick of:

6. Thriller by Michael Jackson
7. Cold Hearted Snake by Paula Abdul

4. Buy a house.
5. Travel to Prauge.

RECAP!

Did everyone think we forgot about our blog? NO! We've been super busy and haven't had time to update.
Memorial Day weekend was great fun! Amy (our bestest friend from Utah) came down to visit. We haven't seen her since Feb. and we missed her so much. We always have so much fun when we get together. All we do is laugh, laugh, laugh. We went to a resort to chill and relax. We stayed by the pool all weekend and it was great. On Memorial Day we went to Sprinkles Cupcakes and it was so good! We got a dozen so we could try every kind. They were HEAVEN! Carrot cake and banana nut was Holly's fave. We also did TONS of shopping, maybe too much, in fact. (If that is possible). Sadly, Amy had to go home and we had to go back to work.

Another great thing that we have done is....we got New Kids on the Block concert tickets! YAHOO! Anyone who knows us, knows we LOVE them. We had all the cassettes, videos, shirts, fanny packs, water bottles, you name it we had it! We also had our room covered with posters! I know, we were/are nerds, but they rock! And after 15 yrs they are having their reunion tour. It's going to be so fun.

Happy Birthday, BB!

It's Bridget's birthday and boy is she getting old! She is so fun and makes us laugh all the time. Bridget LOVES watching TV and movies. Her favorites? Caillou, Saved By The Bell (Mr Belding is her fave), Happy Days (she loves the Fonz), Brady Bunch, Grease 1 and 2, and Footloose are a few. She also likes going to Disneyland. The scarier the ride the better! One time when we were in D-land we were walking along minding our own business and we looked down at Bridget and she was eating a churro! Nobody bought her one! We just know there was some kid crying because someone in a wheelchair took their churro. Another time when we were pushing her around at Disneyland we came up on some ride that she loves and she jumped out of her wheelchair and started running towards it. My dad yelled out "It's a miracle, she can walk!". Everyone turned and started clapping! We didn't tell them she already knew how to walk! When we were younger we would go to Sea World. We were feeding the dolphins with the raw fish Sea World hands out. My mom looked up at Bridget and she had one of those raw fishes in her mouth! My mom was gagging so much my dad had to run over and take it out.
Bridget always is happy and loves hanging with her niece and nephew. She is such a blessing to our family and we are so glad to have her. Happy Birthday, Bridget! We love you!

We're BAAAACK!

Well, we are back! Boy, did we have fun! Why did we have to come home? Everything was so perfect. Because the Disneyland Hotel was under renovation they had to switch us to another hotel...the California Grand Hotel! This is the newest hotel that was built right next to California Adventure. There is even an entrance for the people staying there to go to California Adventure. Because we had such a large party (13 is a lot?) they put us in the Vice Presidential Suite! We were VIP! (not really but we keep telling ourselves we were) Our balconies overlooked Bear Rapids and it was so nice to run up to the room when we needed to. Especially when we rode the Bear Rapids! We would run up, change into our swimsuits (Marcie and I would put on ponchos and a shower cap. Yes, we were bringing sexy back!) and ride the ride about 5 times then go back to our room and change. Can we also tell you how nice it is to go to Disneyland with 3 (yes 3) handicap people! We were able to go through the exit for every ride! We are a little spoiled now and must take Bridget every time. The kids were great! They rode some rides, and slept the rest of the time. It was so fun to have grandma and grandpa with us too. It was just like old times!! Plus, they got the totally cool scooters to ride around on and at night, when they went back to the room, they let us borrow them. We got through the parks so fast and our feet weren't even hurting! Since we went 5 days we got to ride all the rides, but also take our time doing it. Not to mention all the churros! Holly had about 15!! Since we got so many pictures we will TRY to narrow it down. Sorry if there is so many, but we are a dang cute fam so there were so many to choose from! Thanks for taking us mom and dad and thanks for being babysitters a lot so we could go down at night and ride the roller coasters some more! Thanks to the whole fam for going (including grandma and grandpa)! We had the BEST time with EVERYONE! When do we go again?

Nothing New!

Our lives are so boring! We haven't done anything, but we hate having the last post up FOREVER!!! So this is a short post just so there is something new to read. Boring, we know. We had a Cinco de Mayo party at our parents and it was a lot of fun. We got party platters from Some Burros and they were delish! Everyone was there including our Grandma Burnham. It was so fun to see her and let her get out of the house. We just got some babysitting coming up, girls night out, pedicures, hair appts and then off to D-land! It will be so much fun. So here is a short post. Not exciting, but something new.
